FORMER Dale Youth star Steve O'Meara has signed up for the light-middleweight Prizefighter series at York Hall later this month.

O'Meara, 26, who is unbeaten in his 10 professional contests to date, will be one of the eight contenders for the winner-takes-all Prizefighter crown on Friday February 26.

Also in the running are ex- Commonwealth title holder Bradley Pryce and Northern Irishman Neil Sinclair, the former British champion.

Prince Arron, Danny Butler, Brett Fournoy and George Hillyard are also on the line-up, with Martin Concepcion and Kevin Hammond vying for the final spot.

"It's a mix of former champions trying to reignite their careers and young guns looking to make a big name for themselves but, as always, there can only be one winner," said Eddie Hearn of organisers Matchroom Sport.
