Borough in Bloom entries open
times.series@archant.co.uk
03 June 2009
by Will Davies
Green-fingered residents have the chance to give the borough a splash of colour in a major competition.
There are nine categories to choose from in the annual Camden in Bloom competition - which is open to all - including best front garden and best school grounds, as well as the most wildlife-friendly garden.
A new award for the best veg patch has also been introduced this year.
The judges will be looking at the impact all entrants' planting schemes have on the environment as well as how imaginative and visually attractive they are.
Winners will receive top prizes and could be part of the borough's entry in the Royal Horticultural Society's London in Bloom regional competition.
Gardeners can enter by using an application form available in Camden libraries or by visiting camden.gov.uk/camdeninbloom.
