TV licence warning
The days are longer, the nights are lighter and so are the footsteps of television licence inquiry officers.
Residents watching an unlicensed set are being warned that a knock on the door in the evening could result in a fine of up to £1,000.
This spring, 900 people were caught in Brent and 500 in Camden as a result of the unexpected visits.
So while you're engrossed in Big Brother, a detector van could be watching you.
Jessica Ray, TV licensing spokesperson for London and the south east, said: "Our inquiry officers will have a spring in their step to help them catch licence evaders.
"Reality TV fans should therefore take note - we will be targeting licence evaders during popular TV series such as Big Brother. We are increasingly successful at catching evaders and this is a warning to anyone who thinks they can get away with it."
A colour TV licence currently costs £126.50 and a black and white £42.
